Rules of Training

So, I felt like my training was being cut short over the past couple of weeks because of other commitments and I decided to put down some training rules because I need to make sure my workouts are of high quality. I plan every workout so carefully to get the most out of my training as well as get to at least some of the commitments that we have scheduled. Basketball season is over this week, so that means that after this week I don't have night time duties at school - I am so happy about this. My life is extrememly planned - all of my workouts and where I am going are planned for the next 2 weeks already. Here are my new training rules:
1. All workouts will be completed - no excuses. I make sure that I get to the gym with plenty of time to complete the workout before planned commitments
2. The phone (both home and cell) will go unanswered when I am on my bike - If I was at the gym, I wouldn't have a phone on me so what is the difference when I am at home on the bike
3. Grocery shopping will be done on Saturday afternoons since I have it scheduled that way and it works.
4. All things need to be planned ahead of time in order to accomodate my training schedule - Sorry to all I will disappoint as I know there will be some of you!
5. Weeknights are out for social activities - my long bikes are on Friday nights, I double up on workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Yoga is a priority on Wednesdays, and Mondays are my long swim days

I love my training right now and just want to give myself the best shot at doing well at Ironman!!! I feel like me again finally training at a very high time commitment which I haven't felt like me since before Tinman in June. I am very excited about feeling like I have everything going in the right direction.
